Auschwitz Concentration Camp is probably the most shocking remnants and a 100% proof of the Nazis World War II crimes. It paints a clear picture of Nazi regime and conditions in which millions of Jews were kept until boarded the train with unknown destination. “Arbeit Macht Frei” (Work makes you free) entry emblem – since 1979 has its place on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The camp played a major part in the German Master Plan of Jews extermination and even after almost 75 years leaves even the less compassionate tense and anxious with a strong feel of injustice. The feeling you get leaving a place which served the despicable purpose it did at the time is indescribable. Although one of the most unpleasant – a must-have experience and a must-visit when in Krakow, Poland.

Our English speaking driver will pick you up from the hotel or any given address and he will take you to Auschwitz camp first. The driver will show you everything and he will be waiting for you at car park (Auschwitz-Birkenau tour takes about 6 hours but it’s your private tour and you can spend there as much time as you wish. Whether you decide to leave early or stay longer) and after all will take you straight back to your Hotel in Krakow or any other destination of our choice (of course after visiting Birkenau – second camp). We recommend to leave Krakow somewhere between 8.00 and 12.00 to make the whole tour manageable and to give you enough time to go through this historic place, but we are flexible as the afternoon Tours are also avaliable.

Guided Group: A good option for smaller parties (up to 5 people) due to affordable ticket cost. If you prefer to listen to the guide instead of individual reading info from plaques and guide book it would be a good option for you. If reading Polish, English or Hebrew language is not your strong point it’s also better to join a guided tour which is available in many languages. A disadvantage of this option is lack of flexibility and being a part of larger group. Guided tour in Auschwitz-Birkenau in any available foreign language costs additional 40 PLN/10 Euros per person. Individual Tour: In my opinion this is the most appropriate way of sightseeing Auswitch. For Polish/English/Hebrew language reading people is extremely informative as well. This option offers total flexibility. You also don’t pay any entry fees (if you leave Krakow before 8:30 am or after 1:00 pm the entrancees is free). Disadvantage is smaller choice of pick up times during high season and no access to the watch tower at Birkenau. So if You decide to walk on your own in the Camps (Auschwitz-Birkenau) our private tour price will be your final price.

Private Guide: If your party is consisted from 6 and more people it’s cheaper and more convenient to hire private guide. This option offers more flexibility and personal contact with your guide. The problem is availability during high season. If you book a tour just few days before its date I don’t quarantee it will be possible. Sometimes it’s necessary to depart extremely early in the morning or late afternoon.

A standard guided tour of any of the following routes takes a total of approximately2-2,5 hrs and is likely to be extended if any interiors should be visited. A combined guided tour of the Old Town and Kazimierz takes about 3-3.5 hrs.

1. Krakow Old Town with Royal Castle walk

2. Krakow – Kazimierz Jewish districk walk

Kazimierz is a district of Krakow with multicultural traditions and rich history. During this tour you can learn about Jewish traditions and lifestyle. We will recall the best years of the Jewish community in our town but we will also tell you about the disaster of the WWII and Holocaust while following the footsteps of Steven Spielberg’s ‘Schindler’s List’ which was shoot here. We will take you to the original Schindler’s factory and to the Krakow ghetto area. Let us show you a place with exceptional atmosphere created by tradition, tragedy and magic of people who lived here.

3. Nowa Huta – Communist Tour

Nowa Huta was built in the 1950s as an ideal communist town. As usual, the communists failed to complete their plans and instead of creating the ideal town, they witnessed the creation of a unique town organism which soon started to live its own life. A visit to this district will help you realize that communism was something more than just stories about James Bond and the other Cold War era spies. Here we will tell you about everyday life under the communist regime but also about the struggle to abolish the hated system. There are hardly any places in the world where you can see social realism architecture on such a big scale. We will make your tour more interesting by providing photographs from the past.

If you have limited time in Krakow we have special offer for you. You can visit Salt Mine in Wieliczka and concentration camp – Auschwitz Birkenau in one day. Our English speaking driver will pick you up from the hotel or any given adress. Auschwitz-Birkenau and Salt Mine tour takes about 10 hours but it’s your private tour and you can spend there as much time as you wish. Whether you decide to leave early or stay longer – our car will be waiting for you.

We recommend to leave Krakow somewhere between 8.00 and 10.00 am to make the whole tour manageable and to give you enough time to go through this places, but we are flexible. Firstly the driver will take you to Auschwitz museum. There you may have a tour with a guide or you can visit Auschwitz-Birkenau museum without guide (visiting Auschwitz-Birkenau is free and you have no limited time), it’s your choise. WIELICZKA SALT MINE TOUR

It’s only recently when Wieliczka Salt Mine was closed for mining – this famous Mining site is the World’s only mining site that has been operational for over 8 centuries. Currently one of the biggest attractions just outside the city is within your reach. Since 1978 Wieliczka Salt Mine stands proud on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list. Some describe it as Wieliczka having the same WOW factor as Terracotta Warriors at Xian or even the Gran Canyon. We believe that Great Hall has it indeed. It’s just outside the city – a great tour and a great exercise, cos the route is around 3k and goes 136 m deep. A photographers paradise and salt-admirer must-see. Be sure to lick the walls – we are not kidding.

Schindler’s Factory Tour

The famous 1993 ‘Schindler’s List’ starring Liam Neeson and Ben Kingsley was in fact shot right here in Krakow – the actual premises of Schindler’s former factory near Lipowa Street. Wadowice – John Paul the 2nd Route Tour

Wadowice is a small town 50 km from Kraków where Karol Wojtyła was born in 1920, who would later become Pope John Paul II. Wojtyła grew up and went to school here until 1938 when he joined the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. Today Wadowice, primarily known for its holy citizen, is a site of the John Paul II museum in his family house.

There you can see a museum devoted to John Paul II The basilica has the 15th century presbytery and the baptismal font by which little Karol Wojtyla was baptized.
